E550 4matic 1/4 mile timeslips and video: Someone PLEASE run their 550 and post ASAP.
Atco,NJ and Englishtown, NJ both have tracks that are still open.
As a matter of fact,
the best possible timeslips will be produced with the present condidtions.
Some E550s need to get down there and properly represent the MB crowd.
I am DYING to know what the E550 4matic will run with a good driver and a well prepared track.
SOMEONE PLEASE RUN YOUR E550 AND POST YOUR TIMESLIPS AND VIDEO FOR THE REST OF US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Thanks in advance.

I'm still trying to figure out the difference between a "good driver" and a bad driver when it comes to a straight-line acceleration trial of a car with traction control, automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. A "good driver" keeps it in the lane and remembers to brake at the end?

a "good driver" would turn off the traction control and experiment to see if the TC improved the straight line performance;
or hurt it.
With that being said,
my "track" friends and I have all signifcantly beat the manufacturer and magazine performance numbers in our cars.
I speculate that makes us "good drivers".
Yes,
even in automatic and AWD cars.
If anything,
your post kept my thread at the top.
So,
thanks.

Thanks for the link.
There is no doubt the E550 runs strong at the track.
Can someone PLEASE post a E550 4MATIC timeslip and video.
I am DYING to know what the AWD will run.
In my opinion,
the AWD is the best reason to skip the E63 and go with the E550 here in the Northeast.

Will your E550 have 4matic AWD?
If it does, and you post your timeslip, you will have the only documented 1/4 mile performance of a E550 4matic that I know of.
I would really appreciate if you run your car and I'd be willing to meet you at E-town to film your runs.

2006 Black Opel 350 4matic
LYes it will be a 4matic AWD 550... and yes I will have it filmed.. or you can film it on the track.. I am a very good and responsive driver on the track of a few past cars.. Audi a4, Saab 9-5 V6 turbo, lexus rx350 (dont ask just amusing myself)
I will be willing to do it.. however I will not do it prior to 1k miles.
