If you don't go to the manual car wash and use the wheel brush on your paint, you're doing it wrong.

Pretty generic as W211's go.

Bought the car in 2011 with 16k on it. It was a lease return from little old lady. Excellent condition car with NAV, AMG trim, Pano roof. Car now has 45k. In the shop today for rear pads/rotors, alignment and left signal mirror (replace led yourself is my advice...$201 parts/labor).

Anyway, back to the car. A few months after I bought it, some homeless a$$ hole pounded on the hood, $2800 in paint/body work. I replaced the hood emblem with a custom flat, unmarked disc and had it paint matched, I replaced the grill and had it paint matched. I also swapped out the side markers to clear.

End of last year 3 of the AMG wheels cracked cuz they suck I guess and got these new wheels. It's a long story but the tire place didnt notice the cracked wheels before replacing two rear tires. So once they did find them a few weeks later, I just replaced with these 18's since I had already bought two new 18 Pirellis. Otherwise I woudl have switched to a Vossen or something...oh well.

I also added the factory cross bars and Yakima Racks. I did Yakima because my girlfriends car has the same rack and merely for interchangeability. All 4 racks are used for BMX and/or MTB

I have been considering new center brake and tail lights but probably wont do it.

I also really want a paint match roof spoiler but I guess nobody makes one that DOESN'T have the center cutout. On my W211, the GPS antenna isn't near the roof spoiler so don't need a cutout. Any advice on that?

And last I may tint the windows.

Enjoy.

I need WITHOUT cutout. On 08's the GPS antenna is in the middle of the rear half of the pano roof. It's NOT even close to the rear spoiler. Don't need a cutout.

So far every shop I have been to says doesn't exist, and that I should buy one with the cutout unpainted and have the cutout filled and painted.

Its not worth it to me me if it costs $600 just for a piece of plastic

pretty excited, i went and checked since its been a while, there are now roof spoilers listed as LC1 that appear to not have the cutout.

Messaged a few sellers, looks like around $100 for a painted one. Might get one today!!!

Sorry to hear the happened! I have to admit it kind of cracked me up to envision that going down, but I would be in a fit of rage if that anyone did so much put a scratch in my car. (Actually, someone did put a flyer on my car about a year ago and lifted up on the windshield wiper in such a way that it took all the paint off the top seam of the hood down to bare metal. Ended up suing them and having the hood repainted for free).

Turns out my favorite season, season 4 - the cold one with ice and snow , is lethal to the homeless. Damn shame and pretty disturbing if you ask me . Definitely tint the windows on it with a good dark tint like 15% to complete the black look, I'm really happy with my $200 Huper Optik Xtreme tint which is 35% - my only regret is not going darker honestly, but at least it's a lifetime warranty film.

Being from LA I dont noirmally mess with the homeless, its just a part of living here. But we had an out of the country guest.

Anyway, I took him out one night on the town....lucky for me I got parking right in the front of the first bar we went to. He is a smoker so we were out front standing on the sidewalk chit chatting while he smoked. Well, the homeless guy comes walking along and talking to himself, he very clearly scopes out me and my girlfriend and he knows right away not to mess with us by our reciprocal stares but when he sees my Chinese friend look away and get nervous, he swarms. All in his face, rambling drunken bum garbage. I had to step in, so I did. He immediately stopped and moved away from us but in the process he walked between my car and the car parked in front, as i turned away to ignore his screams from "afar" he bent over, and with both fists clenched pounded as hard as he could on the hood. I immediately ran at him at which point he ran, without looking, across 5 lane main thoroughfare but as I chased I realized, screw it, I'm never gonna catch him and even if I do, then what? Beat him to death and go to prison? Have him arrested? He can't pay for the damage. So I stopped chasing and went back to my evening.

The next day I took the car in. $500 deductible for a new hood and paint work. Just under $2800 for total bill.

Just one of those times that parking right in front back fired. The homeless dude had no idea it was my car, he just wanted attention.

Homelessness here in San Francisco is just about the same thing. You just kind of let them be. But man, $500 for a new hood? Actually sounds like a good deal!

Yeah its an NSX lol, its a bit different from most US NSX, its Japanese inspired and the lip kit was bought directly from Japan. Speaking of lips, I know the E63's lip/diffuser does not fit AMG sport, does anyone here know any alternative or custom fitted the E63 lip?

i emailed Jbspeed about a lip for my AMG sport E350 and he said they do stock them so i'm not sure..

Not unless you can find someone who can plastic weld and help you custom fit them (or at least that's what I heard someone else say since the last person asked about it.)

$500 for me. Total was $2800. And an unknown amount in diminished value - a carfax that says "Vandalized" doesnt read well, I can prove the damage was hood only but people get scared.

dig the NSX!

here's my weekend warrior.....
