Need Oil Change.....
i was also thinking of going to an ezlube or jiffy lube to change mo oil since the dealer want's $200 witch doesn't make any sence to me for a oil change.
Get 1 quart of Mobil 1 0W-40 or 5W-40 and pour it in.
Change your oil when multifunction display says to.

I would never go to a jiffy lube you will be sorry.
BMW's maintenance was and is more complete than what MBUSA provided. BMW covers wear items like brakes, windshield wiper blades, etc.
Seriously, all anyone really lost after the 2004 model year is 3 free oil changes worth about $300. It's not worth worrying about.

The previous 2 FSS have been oil changes only (and inspection of different areas) so, based on the $600 price, maybe they'll charge $200-300!
If so, free maintenance has saved over $1000! I hate to see the bills after free service ends. Why it the dealer a stealer? Makes me think twice to getting a Mercedes. Either that or I have to find an indie to do the work. I hope they don't price their work like the stealer does!

Of course dealer service charges are insane nowadays. I paid a total of $89.99 labor at dealers during the first 10 years of ownership of my '91 300E. That was for changing brake fluid, transmission fluid and differential fluid. The car was 12 years old before it had to have a repair (head gasket).
In any case, the amount of money I might have saved by owning a 2004 pales in comparison to even the cost of my license plates here in Arizona. It certainly wasn't enough to make a buying decision in and of itself.

I think Volvo did away with free maintenance but the price stayed about the same.
So who pays the service technicians salary while they are performing "free" maintenance? Who pays for the parts? Who pays for the time that the car is in the service bay? All of these things have associated costs which are paid for by the manufacture. The manufacture pays for these things out of the money that you paid for your car. So the cost of this maintenance is indeed factored into the MSRP of the car.

). I drain. Filter is in engine bay.
