Phillips 6000K bulbs?
I ordered Philips D2S 6000K bulbs on the internet and came in plastic canisters with no markings. On the base of the bulb it says
Philips Germany
D2S 35W
E516
85122 WX
Anyway to find out they are the 6000k?

Hmmm this is the package my bulb came with and I purchased mine off Ebay. If I recall correctly, Philips HID bulbs with the purple pole are the Ultinons/6000K. I just pulled off one of my bulbs and the base reads
Philips Germany E216
D2S 35W 85122 WX
Not for use in Europe/USA

Thanks for taking the time to check! Mine shipped in these plastic canisters with no markings (see below). It does have the purple pole eventhough it looks blue in the pic. I bought them from suvlights.com and they assured me they are the 6000k but just wanted to double check I bought what I paid for. Thanks again!

Glad I could help. I think your bulbs are authentic, but it was just packaged in those plastic containers to save on cost. I've seen mixed reviews about SUVlights, but I'm hoping you got the real stuff! Only way to find out is install them and use them as much as you can. Your bulbs will appear more white in the beginning, but the more you use them...the more they shift to a purple hue.

Installed them today and I like them.
Now the PIAA city bulbs to match the stock HID is now too yellow. The Hoen fogs are also too light. Those who have the 6000K, what city bulbs and fogs did you switch too?
Thanks!
