Help w/ LED tailights swap

Just purchased a set of brand new OEM MB LED tailights. Just wondering if they are just a direct swap, i mean electronically or if i need some kind of resistors for the LED to work correctly? Anyone?

If You Bought the OE Mercedes Benz LED Tail Lights ... Then Yes they are a direct replacement....Very Easy! Unless You have Airmatic...Then a little more work is required to install the passenger side tail light...Its Plug and play!

Hi, I changed my Tail lapms from Normal to the New LEDs and now i have an ERROR of BRAKE MALFUNCTION there on my DASH, so i am not pretty sure whether it's becoz of the LEDs or my Brakes really need to get checked at Serv. Cen ! But after all, COOOL LEDs, i love them and i am happy with them even with this Malfunction, Very easy to install as i DIY and took only 15 mins for both Lights, here are few pics with New and OLD both Lights,

Let me know if u get the same Brake Error, or else i will try to switchback to the old lights to find out whether the BRAKE MALFUNCTION still appears,

I swapped my lights for the 07 LEDs. It was a very easy change and I have not gotten any errors. I swapped them about 2 months ago. There must be another problem going on here. Did you get OEM lights? Is your center stop light working correctly?

The message could be unrelated, I swapped mine and was an easy swap, no error message, maybe a diagnostic of the system by the dealer or service place may tell what the problem is. In any case, the message would display taillamp error, or lamp error, but not brake needs service I would think....

Cheers

Nah, no such luck on MB cars, I've learned the hard way everything has to be reset with the star diagnostic from the dealer or a shop.

Cheers

Got the pair on Ebay. Just arrived yesturday in original MB packaging. The guy wanted to drop the tail lights in his car but then he never got around to do it. Those are not the 07' tho. I got them for 230 shipped.

Gonna do the swap tonight.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. $230 shipped for OEM taillights is a great price. Off to do some searching on ebay. Post pics when you're done.
