Wiper Blades for 2007 W211

Guys,

I'm looking to replace my wiper blades on my 2007 W211, but I can't seem to find anything in any local stores. (I have found similiar bosch wiper blade products but the connection to the wiper arm is different.)

I was hoping that I could avoid going to the stealership on this, does anyone have any ideas?

There was a post on how to take those apart and just replace the blade without having to do the arm as well. HTH

I've found that the wipers last a really long long time in normal use when compared to parts store wipers that fit regular cars. (Don't remove snow & Ice with them while the car warms up) They last so much longer that the additional cost that you incur by getting them at the dealer is negated. The wearout/change interval is that long. They're worth what you are paying at the dealer, actually.

I wanna say that wiper blades are under warranty for the first 10K miles. I could be making that up though. Either way, just ask your SA for a free set if they're not under warranty. He'll probably just give them to you.

Interested if any one actually got free wipers. Brought my 2006 E500 in at 7k miles had them check for skipping wipers - cost me $80 to replace blades.
This from a dealer that I bought 5 new cars from in 6 years.

Likewise, my SA told me that even brand new cars just put on the lot, MB won't honor a wiper warranty, even for the dealer.

I've purchased one set...talked the parts guy down to $50.00 and I've also been given a free set. But I have a real good $$$ relationship with my SA.

I believe, read somewhere on here, that MB stopped the wiper replacement back after MY02. I know I tried on my old MY03 C-class.

My dealership retails them for 100.00 a pair. Rediculous.

26K plus miles, 14 month old car. Original wipers and still work great. Why is you MY07 worn out? do you constantly use them with ice on ur windshield?

Ok, quoting myself because I went to install the new wiper blade today and found I had the wrong one.
Apparently there were 2 different wiper arms/blades installed on MY 2004 W211's. Anyone else (besides Konigstiger) know this ?
The PN above is for later production (mine is 3/04) and subsequent MY's.

The newer arm is a thinner blade at the tip and the blade has a thinner "hub".

The PN for the more "bulbous" tip arm blade is 211-820-07-45 (thicker hub). Oh, and big surprise, it costs $4.00 more.
Anyone wants to see a photo, just ask and I'll post it.

As an aside, I saw a number of pre owned cars on the lot with the wrong blades installed.

Yeah believe it or not. The recent cold / snow weather here in Chicago has eatten mine up. I keep getting these streaks right in my view. Driving me crazy.

I was just hoping that there would be a way to get bosch replacements without having to give merc any more of my money than they already have.

So far no one knows where I can get a brand new set.. (besides ripping the blade housing apart and replacing just the rubber.)

BMW is the only company that has a legit free maintenance program. they even covers brake pads during the warranty period.

maybe we all should jump ship as a protest to mercedes for dropping its program. bimmer cars are more reliable too.

I paid $34.43 for my last set. Since I buy other parts as well, I usually get free shipping.

Yup. Sad to see Audi did away with it last year...rumors say BMW will follow in the near future, we'll see about that. '05 was the last year to get all the free goodies I got brake pads, wiper blades, maintenance all covered. Of course, I blew through the warranty in 2 years

I believe the wiper blades are proprietary since '01 (at least on my parent's w220), so dealer is your only bet unless the online Benz part stores sell them too, then it may be cheaper.

If you got 2 complete wiper blades, why did you need, and what is , the wiper rubber ?

I think 'wiper rubber' is referring to the wiper on the rear windshield. It's profile said he/she has W211s, the 's' means wagon.
