Exhaust ??s about E500
I have searched, searched and searched on this forum, and I cannot find that many exhaust options for my 03 E500. Can I get some input on some good ones out there and where I can buy them from ? I really want the E55 exhaust but I dont want to buy a new bumper nor do I want to cut or modify the bumper. Will the AMG exhaust still work ?
Thanks
Also, I have the sport package with the adjustable suspension, everytime I turn on the car or right as I turn it off, I hear a buzzing sound (for like 5 secs) like some motor is turning on somewhere. Any idea what it is ?
Thanks

Here's another alternative for aftermarket catback exhaust from CALBenzo.

I have Remus, I am very happy with it. I gets lots of compliments. It is a sport exhaust system, thus a little loud in the car as compared to sport.
Amazon has them pretty cheap now. I paid $700, I see them on Amazon for $300 to $500.

I did not "want" to cut my bumper either or buy a new one. However once my exhaust was installed, I realized it looked hanging so low. So, I cut the bumper and it looks good.... ended up doing a friends W211 a few months later.
The 2007 W211 with an appearance pkg has the same rear bumper but it has a cutout for the exhaust with a trim piece. I haven't had time to look into it but I was thinking I would buy just the two small trim pieces and make my opening just like the factory did. I am 95% confident (and an MB tech agrees) MB took the regular bumper and cut out for the exhaust and added two small trim pieces. Hopefully, just those trim pieces are available.
Nothing says "afterthought" more than exhaust on a bumper without any matching bodywork.

My car still looks completely stock. Everything is tucked up nice, no tips coming out and no bumper cutting. About 400.00 parts/labor. Can't beat it with a stick!
And the buzzing sound you here is the SBC pump...totally normal.

The remus exhaust is designed to go under the bumper, so cutting involved. They designed it well it tucks under very well. It comes with adjustable mounts so you can fine tune the hieght to exactly your taste. I love my exhaust. When you hit it, people know you have a V8 under the hood.

cc 350, what are those wheels? Nice lip!
I found the new website of REMUS USA I believe, www.remusexhaustshop.com, I believe it's still being built though as no pictures show up?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This has got to be about the best looking E350 I've seen. The only thing I would do differently, and it's a small gripe, is to have cut-outs for the exhaust and not have the tips hang below the rear skirt.
Well done, well done.
