Sweet! After you knock me out would you mind stuffing $3500.00 in my pocket? That way I can buy 4 spoilers, 2 coffee can exhausts, wiper blades for my headlights, glowing windshield washer nozzles, gold AMG badges, and curb feelers.

You sure sound old.
I think people should do whatever they want with their money and cars. I do agree there is a limit. I saw an Sclass with big spinning wheels and I thought it looked rediculous. I said so loud enough for the owner to hear it, too. Since then, I have calmed down. Who am I to judge. I still down't like spinners but I'm not gonna tell someone where they can post because I don't like them. I used to have a benz and I put chrome AMG wheels on it. The three cars I have now all have 19's. All are lowered. Two have body kits. So on and so on. I consider them all tastefully modded. I'm 48 and I've been modding since my first car before you were born. You have a right to your opinion...I'm just asking that you be careful about being too judgemental.

You know I was thinking about getting some CLS wheels on the 'E' I'm wondering since the offset is so different if I could put some curb feelers on the car to prevent them from hitting the curbs. Do they still make those and does pepboys have a set that their techs will put on or is this a dealer only type of installation?
Mercedes Pepboys
I heard the techs there are certified
Maybe Brabus has a custom set with LEDS
Mine would have to be black to match the painted headlights

I grew up in the "Row Houses" in Brooklyn NY. I used wooden clothespins to hold the baseball cards against the spokes on my bike and had several reflectors attached to various places. Who knows if I used a Mickey Mantle rookie card back then.
I haven't modded my 07 SL550 yet but if I do they will be for me to enjoy. I enjoy seeing the way others mod their cars. It is an art form.

I am sorry, i am just getting a bit frustrated with the quality of the members that have been comming in here lately. It seems they are stuck with the Honda mentality and want to Rice out their $50+K cars to make them look "cool" . Now i realize that this is a Internet forum and i cant stop anyone from posting, but please new people.. You drive a elegant classy car. PLEASE do not destroy it and make it look trashy. I sold my 2000 Acura TL years ago to get away from that mentality and it seems to be comming over here now.

But now you are just asking for it; if you are really worried about this site going down hill, use a spell checker and be consistent in your grammar usage. If you choose to not use apostrophes for contractions, Ns on indefinite articles before a noun that starts with a vowel, or proper capitalization (just to name a few things) that is OK. But don't be inconsistent or pretend that this is not bringing down this forum. There are some members who might be trashing their MBs, but they use perfect diction and grammar.
If you go to other forums, the writing there is usually a bit lower in level. This forum tends to be much better (for the most part). Let’s keep that up instead!
Just a different perspective,
Steve
