Completely my fault too.
I'll spare you the tired details but for sake of clarity let's just say it was dark and that other vehicle was parked way over the line.
Yes the other car was parked. Needless to say I am very disappointed with myself...
The $1,600 repair bill didn't do much to brighten my day either.
I'm definitely getting parktronic on my next one.

Man, that sucks. I know how you feel about stupid accidents that ends up costing a fortune to repair. $1600 is a pretty good deal for that much damage. Lucky you didn't damage your headlights.

E-320 Bluetec
My Bluetec has been at the body shop for 2 weeks now, fixing a scrape on the passengers side door from when someone did a little Nascar bump and run (the wife was driving). New door skin, new bumper skin, trim pieces, tire and buff out the wheel. Will cost the other guy's insurance around $2400. Car's all put back together, but an air bag light is showing up, and something about programming the seats that can only be done at the dealership will keep me from getting back on the road till at least Tuesday. Oh well!

Parktronic is for everyone

I purchased parktronic on my 05 E and am very happy I did. Even if I was not over 60, today's environment requires that you take advantage of all available aids. We are running everywhere with concentration difficult without a visual and audible warning to help us. By all means purchase this accessory the next time.
