Anybody got "Burn" by engine start/stop button?

Anybody got "Burn" by engine start/stop button?
My car was sitting under the sun for 3 hours. It was 87 degree in S. Cal yesterday. I entered the car (Keyless go) and try to start my car from the engine start button and my thumb got burn pretty badly. (red and bubble).
The silver plate for the engine start/stop button is so hot when it was under the sun for a while.
No wonder the SLR has built in cover for you to press it before to start the engine.

Yeah, I too have noticed how incredibly hot the aluminum button gets. I've never gotten a blister, but I am startled at the temperature, and if I lift my finger off before pressing it down, I always look for another way to press it down on the 2nd try.
The square button on my '04 was never hot like this.

Somebody needs to start a class-action lawsuit on behalf of all owners of '07s with the P2 package. M-B shouldn't be allowed to get away with this kind of wanton disregard for the safety of their customers.
edit- for ATS in Canada and anyone else alarmed by this post: It was a JOKE, which the first post also may have been. C'mon, badly burned thumb (red and blistered)? Try parking your Harley in the sun in August, and then climbing on and riding. You will burn something more important than your thumb!

The C55 doesn't have Keyless-Go, but there's a big plate that's the same size as the new KG button. When I got it last summer, I jump into the car and put my palm right onto it...YEOUCH! That metal plate gets hot!

It is my suggestion that owners should use common sense and make a conscience effort to either use a windshield shade or park out of direct sunlight when experiencing high temperature circumstances since all interior parts become hot (i.e.: steering wheel, shifter, etc.).

I'll ask the Service Manager regarding this issue. I'll update more info when i back from the dealer.
I think they should use different material or like BMW located the engine start button above the ignition.

I am SOoooo sure this was meant tongue in cheek... a joke. ... and besides... It was a change in material for the button from the previous square keyless go start button. I'm sure once they realize it is so hot to the touch, they will change the material again on future production.

No, Barry, they will keep the same material but instead will design an extremely complicated and expensive system to refrigerate the top of the shifter.
