Well, I will finally get to see for myself next week. My dealer called and said this morning's computer run showed my vehicle was finally released from the VPC and is ready to ship. (I saw the run myself on Wednesday, and it still had no release date...guess the parts came in Friday. It's been there since 9/25/02.)

I'm hoping the Keyless Go does come wood and leather -- I can get my money back (or at least some) on the shift knob I ordered. Both guys in parts just this week told me that the Keyless Go comes standard with an all leather shift knob. Early next week I find out if they are mistaken...

Wood Steering Wheel/Knob Option

For what it's worth, my dealer mentioned that if you order the wood steering wheel option it comes automatically with the wood knob upgrade—in standard and well as Keyless Go configurations.

My dealer told me you can't order the wood steering wheel option anymore (since August), that Netstar does not have the option....did your dealer tell you recently that he could order it?

Also, I think the wood shifter is always standard on the E-class regardless of wheel type...the only question here is that with Keyless Go option, do you get wood on the shifter or not...from bmms8's info on his car, the answer is "yes".
