((BRAKE!)) VISIT WORKSHOP message on 05 E320 CDI
Is there any other issiue that would cause BRAKE! VISIT WORKSHOP message to appear?
I guess MB does not specify what the problem is, my BMW warning displays - BREAK PAD WEAR.BTW car had 86k miles on it.
Now I have this ((BREAK)) light on. When the pads wear out do you usually get BREAK or BREAK WEAR light? I am a little paranoid about it being something over than just pads.
My car started to flag up this warning in the display then would reset after restarting the car.
The car went to the workshop three times ........pad censors replaced several wires also replaced all to no good.
Guess what ?? It was a faulty brake light swich that operates the rear brake lights.
If you search the forum I am sure that other people have had the same problem

I am pretty mechanically savvy, and I hate going to the stealer and paying them crazy labor charges. Is the brake light switch easy to get to and is there a special tool required to remove it?
What did the dealer charge you for this procedure?
