I used a cassette adapter to hook up my iphone to the sound system. Tried multiple FM transmitters but they all have static.
I was not able to close the door of the player, however if you look closely at the head unit, there is a small push button that is engaged when the door is close. there is a plastic bump on the right side of the HU door that will push this button.
So what i did is cut a small piece of rubber to fit over that push button, small amount of crazy glue and the HU never can tell if the door is open or closed.

2003 E55 with HK sound
Hello,
I have a 2003 E55 with HK sound and also have the Audio 50 without an aux input. I have been using the tape adapter to listen to my Sirius for a couple years. The sound is okay, but I would like to have a 3.5mm aux adapter. Which command h/u is compatible with my 2003 with changer and H/K sound? Does anything need to be programmed by the dealer or is it a straight head unit swap?
Thanks,
Steve
