is all v60 cradles are the same?

is all v60 cradles are the same?
I called aws today and tolld them that I have a v60(AT&T). But I want to use the v60s verizon. The rep told me I have to change my cradle to use the v60s. Is that right? Isn't v60 crable the same?

I went through the process.. and never got the V60 matched with the proper cradle.. I broke down and bought the blue tooth adapter (not the puck that fits into the cradle)... but the MHI Bluetooth Interface Module
For most model year 2005 - 2007 vehicles equipped with
the MHI(Multi-Handset Interface) hands-free system I haven't looked back! I have the motorola Q + a Pearl + a I Phone... all three work perfectly.. full control from the car and complete phone book download into the car ....

also the parts guy said i could ether take the v60s to a verizon store or call aws to have it activated.

nope.. diff cradles for diff versions of V60 ... one of mine wouldn't fit the MB V60 I bought off of ebay... some are V60 .. some are V60s and so on..
I had actually found a string on the net where it had the MB model numbers for each v60 and provider combo... http://www.mercupgrades.com/Mercedes...article-9.html
one thing that you have to be careful with.. after I bought my V60 MB phone.. had it turned on by verizon.. when I did the *228 update.. it erased the native MB software in the phone... then it wouldn't work at all.. I gave up and bought the blue tooth adapter..... Sooooo much better.

you are so right... I got the v60s it does not fit in my cradle.
however when I used your link it makes since bc its a different part number. also i have to get the phone connect by aws. i called the they will do it. so I have to upgrade my cradle now..
. I refuse give up in this fight...lol. I will go broke if I have to make this thing work....

with the cost.. you are half way there to the bluetooth.. also, I remember something about the phone system in the 04 and before is diff than the 05 ... half of the service guys never know those small details.

do you want to hear something funny.... I have the bt puck with Iphone it works good but I don't like the fact that the comand is not fully intergated such as 3 way, 2way caller Id, Sms, etc. also rather have dedicated cell in the car. once I have this thing worked out I will be putting the puck on the market...

the puck sucks.. the other device works great... have the I phone too.. get caller id ... phone book.. can have 5 phones tied to it.. !

I got the v60s phone for ebay and for the hell of it stuck it in to my old cradle and it worked. so I called AWS and they activated the phone and told to dail *22890 which is the same as *228 but it gots straight to programing the phone. I was asked the rep will this jack up the benz software. the rep told me the *228 just updates MDN/MIN/SID amongst other things, along with updating the PRL ( thing that tells you if you are in Verizon Wireless coverage, or Extended network) so it has nothing to do with software. so I dail it and the phone was working as far as making calls and stuff. However when I plug the phone in the old cradle the comand just show activating phone the phone would not charge or anything. so I call AWS and I told the rep what was happening. the rep asked me if I was using a v60s cradle. which I was not. so I order a new cradle using the part # on the old cradle. A dealer in Boston had a cradle the would fit my car and I order it. It came yesterday and I installed it and it works. I did notice that the v60s cradle bigger. also the v60s cradle chip and be changed out so you can just different type so v60 phones. in the box it there was 2 clips one have v60s stamped on and the other show v60x/i.
