Is MB Doctor safe to do business with?
I am trying to get my COMAND unit reprogrammed to enable DVD payback in-motion. MB Doctor tells me that he can do it but I wanted to check with you guys and see if anyone has done any business with the guy. I am a bit reluctant to sent an expensive piece of equipment without knowing how reliable the guy might be.
Please advise.

Very interested of the outcome of this.(since it's been claimed impossible by one of our sponsors.)
What happened to the comand? Did you update the software and the locked yourself out?

I think that MB Doctor either may have access to STAR Diagnose system or would have to version code my COMAND unit with the older software so he could get into Engineering Mode via the widely publicized trick. I'll let you guys know what happens at the end.

MB Doctor
I believe MB Doctor is run by two MB Techs. I got my Euro Command and an Ipod kit I bought off ebay installed by them last year. The install took quite a while to complete, but after about three or four phone calls to friends, it was finally completed. I too have a 2006 Euro Command and unfortunately Video in motion was not activated at the time of install. I expected this to be installed, but had no way to verify it until I got home.
I have been meaning contact MBDoctor to fix the omission, but just haven't gotten around to it.
Let me know how you make out.

Guys,
MB Doctor gets my vote of confidence! Actually MB Doctor is run by two guys who really seem to know what they are doing. I just received my Euro COMAND back from them and it works great. I have one of those 'unfortunate' COMANDs that was produced in 2006 and didn't have the loophole for getting into Engineering Menu mode and enabling DVD playback in motion. I am happy to report that MB Doctor not only did it for me in one day but also charged a fraction of the cost of what SteveNL quoted me for this type of work. He didn't re-flash my unit with the old software but just enabled DVD playback.
The guys' names are Solomon and Joel. Joel was the one who took care of my COMAND. I really appreciated that fact that Joel called me before starting to work on my unit and verified that there was a minor visual defect on it. He also called me once the work was finished and informed me that everything went well.
So, I endorse these guys and really recommend to everyone who has been having issues with playing DVDs in motion on their newer COMAND units.
Great job, MB Doctor!
