Yellow ESP® warning light flashing

Wonder if you folks frequently see that yellow ESP® warning light flashing? I've noticed that it flashes pretty often when I'm taking a corner pretty aggressively but not with any wheelspin, ie. no sound of tires squealling. I'm wondering whether it due to my tire sizes since upgrading to 18" staggered. Fronts are 245/40/18 and rears are 275/35/18, originally from a CLS. The recommended rears are 265/35/18 so just slightly different rolling distance, 1%.

Would that be enough to trigger that yellow ESP® warning light to flash because the rears versus fronts are tracking differently? And that I would need to swap down to 265/35/18 so that the system doesn't flash so much?

My Esp warning light triggers when i take a corner hard too. As for a tire squealing I think the esp system is working the way it should, bc its compensating for wheel slip before it happen.

My car does the same, I find it is a little too quick to trigger. I have to go to the dealer to fix my ESP. Almost everytime I drive the car now after 20 minutes of driving the ESP inoperative warning come on the info screen. In order to reset it I have to stop and shut the car off. I think MB has Microsoft handle their software, good thing the car does not ask me to close all windows then shut down and restart...

That's the way it is suppose to work. However you can fix that problem.. Back off the throttle and ease around the turns. When the ESP is on you are pushing the limits of your traction. It will save you 99% of the time, buy you can't deny physics and limitations. Push too hard and it WILL SKID OUT.

BMW FTW
Flashing just about everyday.. I think its a little oversensitive and overreacts especially in dry conditions.

Other day when I was in the middle of using the nav to direct me to an address. I shutdown the car in the middle of it saying the next turn. When start the car a few hours later, the nav screen showed "Nav device unavailable" and the dash was stuck showing the last street I was driving on. I had to shutdown the car and waited 5 mins. when the car started it back up the first thing it did was finish saying the last direct before I shut it off the last time it worked.

I had that once, on labor day weekend. I tried everything including the Microsoft fix (shuting the car off/restarting it), The next morning it was fine.

I'm renaming my car the Gremlin....

The light is doing it's job...it's letting you know that TC is being implemented...try turning it off and taking the same corner again...might make it a bit more fun!!!!

That little yellow triangle light is working just fine. I notice mine when
I start getting it a little hot in a corner or off the line.

Turn it off and have some fun. Just dont wrap it around a pole.
