I have a friend who is a mechanic at Fletcher Jones Mercedes in Fremont, CA and he says that Service D will usually cost in the range of $500 +...but he says that Service D is really only an oil change and checking the fluids.

My wife and I refer to the Mercedes Dealer as the thousand dollar store. Normally it really breaks a thousand dollar bill.
But at your mileage I would expect $400 or so given you don't have a + behind the service notification. The + will add 4 to $500

Service D is an oil change, brake fluid flush, and bumper to bumper inspection - and it runs right at $500 at my stealership here in Dallas. I went ahead with it since there were recalls that needed to be addressed and I had skipped Service A, B, and C. Still couldn't get them to do the Star Diagnostics lowering OR install my new non OEM brake kit.........friggin' A$$ Clowns.
