Visit Workshop Message

Hey Guys,

I got the dreade Visit Workshop message today. The "Raising Vehicle" image is displayed along with the visit workshop message. Is this an indication of the problem or just a default image? Anybody else get this message? The Airmatic seems to be fine. I can still switch between comfort and sport. Its still about 6500 miles to my next scheduled service and I'm hoping what ever the problem is it could wait a few months.

More than likely a sender unit (measures vertical oscillations of the chassis - influences dampening functions) needs replacing. Since you received the “visit workshop” warning, they should have no problem diagnosing it because a fault code has been stored. I would not wait and bring it as soon as possible.

Same thing happened to my car three months ago and I had the COMPRESSOR UNIT replaced and the problem was solved. The original Compressor Unit was getting weaker and weaker which caused it to need more time to pump the air to the structs when they needed it. Unfortunately two weeks ago, the malfunction appeared again. After serveral inspection taken from dealer, they soon found out that there was a leaking linear close to the compressor unit. So they replaced the part (MA211 327 02 45/LEITUNG) and another part (MA000 327 03 69/CONNECTOR) and the problem was solved again. Now everything is fine and hope this will help you someway.

That sounds pretty expensive. Were the repairs over $1000?

The cost for the Compressor Unit including replacement charges was less than USD:550. (I believe in the U.S. the labour cost must be very expensive).

I haven't done anything to it. The message hasn't returned. Only got it the one day.
