Did it say which model years? My '04 was a nightmare... MY '07 has been flawless. After MB admitted the 211 was not "up to snuff" to themselves and made it a priority to improve the car, I'd have to say that was true. But by MY 2007, they ironed out all the crappy parts of the design/implimentation on the car, and its a solid well put together dependable car... so I disagree with the survey because it doesn't mention model year.

i believe CR gathers data for 3 yrs before publishing.

Yes, same here. Back in 1993 I wanted a volvo 940, well CR said the car was junk, so to speak. I bought it anyway and I still have the car and it has 557,000 miles on it and its a gas burner, its been flawless. I even bought a used 1992 for my wife in 1997 she drove it many years and sold it to a neighbor, his son drove until this year and now his younger brother drives everyday to high school. I guess I don`t need to say that I don`t trust CR.
