Anyone decide between new Jaguar XF and E-Class?

New XF has many nice features and very contemporary style. Interior is quiet revolutionary too. V8 engine seems smooth and powerful. However I still think that E class is better value. Does somebody think different? I'll lease E or XF next spring.

IMHO the dimensions on the E-Class are closer to the XJ than the XF. However, the XF is going to come LOADED with technology.

Have you ever driven a Jag? Its very different than the MB...

P.S. The XF is just going to be coming out in the spring. You won't get any lease deals. If you go for the XF, be ready to pay!

I don’t know the Jag “X’s” apart too well. Never owned one.
But, at the Miami Beach auto show 2 weeks ago, I saw the
latest one and in the dash, it had two little screens instead
of one nice big one for the Nav.

I certainly didn’t like that if one of them was really the Nav.

Also, Jag resale is BAD as is their maintenance history. And,
I understand that Ford is trying to sell Jaguar. I suggest that
Jag has lost a LOT of the luster it had years ago.

Jaguar XF should be compared with Merc CLS, If I were asked which I want to buy, I think I'd get the CLS

XF and E class? I think I lean toward XF

maybe just because the concept C-XF is so beautiful

I participated in some study over 4 years ago and the new Jaguar was planned as a replacement of S type. So we had GS, 5 series, and W211 to compare with the next S type known as XF at this study. My opinion didn't change since. E class has better exterior style, however interior of XF is more contemporary. I didn't check the final XF yet in person. Unfortunately Jaguar and Mercedes dealerships are far away from each other in my area, so it is difficult to make side by side comparison as I could do in that study.
Regarding a feel of driving Jaguar. I did decision between S type and W210 long time ago. So I drove both cars. Generally I liked a drive feeling of Jaguar even more. However a S type I test drove first had transmission failure. It was scary, because happened with a brand new car having just few miles on odometer, so I decided to pick W210. Now I have the same dilemma. So it looks like a time to test drive both again.

XF-C was incredible...like shocking. The production version is a but watered down but still nice. What about the A6? Is it a contender?
