Does the in-dash CD changer play MP3 discs?
I noticed that in the 2006 E-class brochure, it states that the in-dash 6-CD player plays MP3 discs. But in the 2008 brochure and the MB-USA web site, it doesn't mention the ability to play MP3 discs. Do the 2008 models play MP3's as well, or did they remove this feature?

Are you asking because you ordered the car or you're just curious?
Best bet, next time you'ra at a dealership take a look at the ownre's manual.

My Ex dad had a 2003 E270, not the CD player or the Shuttle played Mp3's(it does have Command).
We have a 2005 E200k and the CD player does not play Mp3's, but the Shuttle does play, but only till song 99 per CD.

I think you can resolve this issue by making folders in which case each folder can hold 99 songs I believe. There is a huge thread on burning MP3 CD/DVDs on this forum somewhere.

Thanks all for the responses. I'm likely to place an order for a 2008 this week, and I'm told the car won't be delivered until mid-March -- so that gives me plenty of time to burn MP3 discs.
So it looks as though I can burn around 10 CDs onto each MP3 disc as long as I make each CD a folder within the MP3 disc. I'll look for the thread on this, but does anyone know what type of CD I need to record on -- CD+RW, CD-RW, CD-R, etc?

As a rule, you drive a high quality car,so why not use high quality CD-R blanks. TDK or Verbatim (what I use, they look like 45 rpm records seen here
