Anyone knows cost of Service C in Bay Area?

Hi,

My 06 E350 has 25k miles and showing Service C due in 500 miles. I was wondering what is the reasonable costs for servcie C in Bay Area. I remembered I had Service A or B in 12K miles and paid for $199 (It was originally $299 but they had special during that time).

Thanks.

Hi,

I called every dealer in Bay Area. The cheapest is $450 + tax for service C.
Why is so much? They said that my car has 25k miles on it and need to have Major A service + Brake flush = C service. Is it resonable or i am being ripped? If anyone knows better price in Bay Area. Please let me know.

Thanks.

It may be better to seek out an independent who might give you a slightly better rate.

What does the car's computer say you need next? Is it Service B or Service C? Just curious...I had Service A done at 10K miles, and when the dealer reset it, it now shows Service C. I thought the next service would be B.

Beware of paying cheap services! Remember, you get what you pay for! The Flexible Service should be around the area of $250 - $325 at an authorized dealer. Everything cost money and if the service is too cheap, you wonder what type of cheap parts they use. Remember... the whole reason service centers perform services is to make a profit!

Unfortunately paying high price doesn't guarantee a good service. Last time I didn't look for a deal and just paid full price. Car was very clean and sparkling after the service, however they forgot to reset service interval in computer. Who know what they forgot to do also? So it is why people ask not only for low price, but for reliable good service.

IMO It is a HUGE misconception to believe top dollar brings top service. (At least with auto dealers).
