Wot's that lever?
Hi guy's and gal's,
Could someone please tell me what that there lever is for on the side of drivers seat please?

its to adjust the lumbar support, on mine its a knob that you turn, i use it on long drives

Active dynamic seats with power lumbar and massage FTW! I can't believe they did away with that feature. It's one reason why I will not be buying a newer E-Class. That said, that interior is stunning, glojo!

Now I'm really confused Is that lever to activate the power lumbar and massage?

Sorry, that's the manual lumbar.

My car has power lumbar with active dynamic seats with a massaging feature. They discontinued that option.

My W211 has active dynamic driver's seat but does not have that kind of a lever. Don't remember if it has a knob. Can you still clarify (so that I don't have to go and see the car), is the lever or the knob on a "basic" seat or also on drive dynamic seats?

W221 is so much simpler, just do it all from the Comand controller, the display explaining what should be happening.

I think I'm confusing everyone now. My car has dynamic seats with power lumbar, therefore does not have the manual lever. It's either or, not both.

Sorry for the confusion guys.

That's a nice combination of interior. Black and Tan. I don't think we have that option here in the US but I kinda like it.

We do. Actually, that's probably a US Spec car. What side of the car is the steering wheel on, again?


If you check the W211 Picture sticky at the top of the forum, there's a guy on here with that color combo.

Yeah, the drug trade is not what it used to be...too much competition these days. Had to settle for the 3.0d rather than 4.8 rocket fuel!

Anyway, here is a nice "alternative" interior for you guys to ponder!

The only thing good about that interior is the steering wheel is on the correct side of the veh---hheeicle.

2009 SL550 Roadster Diamond White, 2008 CLK550 Coupe Obsidian Black
Went to a local dealer and saw some of the new E's. The 550 only has the lever to, no option for power lumbar on that and the E63 AMG only had power lumbar, but not massage or dyanmic cornering ability. Glad I bought the used one instead of leasing a new one.
