Post MotorWeek clip for download

For those that missed the show I have downloaded the show From my ReplayTV and saved in MPEG-1 format. It is 7 minutes long and about 98mb. Yes I know its huge. I am new to this replayTV format and converting so that's all I can offer at this time. I hope to edit out the opening and convert to a smaller file size once I learn the software (Ulead VideoStudio).

It is uploading now and should be available via link here by Sunday morning (11/24/02).

As a heads up please download and save it and view offline via you favorite program i.e. Windows Media Player etc instead of streaming it. I have minimum bandwidth and don't won't to lose what I have let for the month.

Thanks

**AVAILABLE**
Click link below then you will see the .mpg file in the documents folder. Right click 03Emotorweek and "save target as" to your hard drive. Enjoy.

Jim,

Might be time to get a new ISP. I have cable but I think a lot of people are downloading and it's killing the bandwidth. I'm @ 7KB/sec.

Reminder to everyone:

In order to download the file, right click on the filename; Select "Save Target As" and then specify where you want the file to be stored in your computer.

If you left-click on the file, it will start streaming and will hog the bandwidth.

What codec are you using? Media Player tried to dl the codec but could not. The picture is pretty narrow/compressed. If you could post the codec also, those of us who need it could dl it. Thanks.

Sorry for the prob's...

It's a mgeg-1 format and I've used it on two winxp computers and one with win98 and all worked fine.

I'll check into it though. I still haven't found a way to get it reduced in size yet. I'm looking in to quicktime format but I don't know how much that's gonna save me. Maybe zipping will save some too.

What are your problems? Can't play or too narrow?

Working on it now.

**UPDATE**
Try using VideoLan from www.videolan.org I got it to work on this also. And its free.

Also you can download VideoStudio from ulead on a 30day trial basis. This is what I used to edit it so I know that it will work with this. http://www.ulead.com/vs/runme.htm

Let me know about either if you would please. Sorry for the troubles, just trying to help out.

I can't get windows media to open the mpeg file. Says it can't find the "codec". I don't have any idea what that means or how to correct it.

Talking

You need to download the Elecard MPEG2 Player v. 2.0 beta Demo right here - just extract the contents of the .ZIP file in a temporary directory and execute the .EXE file using the defaults.

It should work then.

Yes that's the correct one. This should work. To those that are having trouble please try this and report back if you don't mind.

Also, I tried on a 4th computer here at work with no troubles. I had Win Media 8.0 installed too. Can't figure out what could be the problem with the codeac. Whatever you do don't delete the file yet b/c we'll get it working sooner or later.

While the clip did not play correctly in Media Player, I did try PowerDVD, a DVD player that came with my Dell. It took a minute to find out how to load a file, but it plays just fine.
