Just wanted to say Hello....

Well here it goes. I just wanted to say Hi to everyone. SO Hi!!!
I'm a member of the bmwm5.COM FORUM. mY 1999 M5 is great but it's time for a change.
I have a E500 on order, i should be getting it in the last week of Febuary 2003. I don't want to get the AMG E55 because i'm sick of all the problems the M5 gave me.
So i will stick to a normal car with decent power.
Here are the options i'm getting, all the listed options have to be payed for here in Poland.

PDC
el. seats vented and heated + all the options seats have
wood wheel
screens side and rear
sunroof
CD changer
Avangerde - sport
el. folding mirrors
power trunk closing
keyless entery
NAV DVD
Bi xenons

the price of the car is 86.954 EURO without the AMG stuff.

I'm really not happy with the price of the AMG styling and the AMG wheels 18". I don't know if it is worth that kind of $$$$$$$$ (7.000 EURO), but i guess i ordered it so i will leave it. I still have a chance to change my specification untill December 25.

So please help me with the decision on the AMG stuff.

thanks for reading this ,

Welcome. You will be glad you made the decision!!! The AMG stuff is great but I prefer the standard American wheels. I don't care for the European wheels so I would probably get either the Avant Garde or the AMG.

If one converts the Euro at about 1.02 to the dollar...That would be about $85,215. US. (if I did that calculation right)

I would think that the MBz would be much cheaper in Poland than in the US. I did not price it out but I think it would come in about $65,000 in the US. That would make the Poland price about $20k higher. What am I doing wrong?

By the way you have chosen a very nice configuration. The wood wheel is a must...really great.

Quite Normal - I payed over $50K for my car - Could have gotten a similar setup in the states for an E320 but the prices differ from country to country - also dont forget about taxes..
