This is another of those odd and highly personal quirks, like Coke vs Pepsi.
I personally *loathe* an alarm that makes noise when there is *no* problem - so silent/flash is exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm solidly with jposhea3 on this. I can't stand audible set/release alarms. Even when I was buying them as aftermarket products 20 years ago, I still looked for silent set/release.

I will let you know the results at 5000km's (I plan to change the oil then instead of the 20,000k recommended... just for the first change as I have driven the car fairly hard).

Here are the procedures to perform what you want from the door locks:
In the DAS computer select "Programs", then select "Rear SAM", then select "Body", set Netherlands to "Yes".
