The W211 series has inspired me to someday buy this... An E63 S 4-Matic Wagon with a handcrafted 4.0L biturbo V8 engine that produces 603 HP & 627 ft/lbs of torque all resulting in a 0-60 MPH time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 307 KPH or 190 MPH. I think they still build some cool stuff and this wagon actually looks similar to the W211 wagons (due the basic body shape that hasn't changed much over the years)

most people our age have not concept of owning real car. Personally what MB, did to put and all electronic display case in the interior and redesigned it made me not want another MB. I prefer the interior of w212 and before. Ive tried the new E Class and that's all it is, new. People belive once it's new must mean better. I rather buy a used E550 one owner mint low miles sedan than a brand new w213 E. As for the amg, prefer mine way more. More aggressive inside and out. Interior is tailored to those who need and want gadgets, I don't all I want is a monster under the hood and that's what I have.
I bought mine brand new in 97.It just turned 100k miles and i never have problems with it. Interior and exterior are in perfect condition with zero rust. I never drive it in snow or rain.
05 E320 CDI. Wonderful auto to drive and some remarkable auto engineering, but maintenance by an owner is hilarious difficult, and I am a motor-head/tech/engineer. Trying to unlock the rear headrests to retract them is the last straw for this owner. Never again.

Shoulda got an E320 gasser. It's by far the most DIY friendly car I've ever owned.
