Heater broken?

Im stumped on this one. The car blows cool air regardless of what temperature I set it at. Although when I move it from full cold to full hot the air does get slightly warmer (barely noticeable).

I recently unplugged both batteries in the car to weld on an exhaust but everything was working perfectly for weeks until the heater broke. So I dont think the two are related.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-Will

When you go back to he dealer, and they advise that after going on the STAR they don't see any codes...insist that they go into conputer programming, and reset all the values that look different than the default settings. (Was my recent experience)

My 2003 E320 is at the dealer at this moment for the same problem. Once it stopped, the heat never worked, but I only gave it a few days. In the morning in New Jersey, it is still cold enough to want to use the heat.

I'll let you know what the problem was and how much it cost to fix as I am well out of warranty. I'm sitting on just over 173,000 miles.

The hot water control valve under the hood at the firewall on the Pass side has failed and is not opening. Replace it. The part number is 211-832-00-84
