From looking at the EPC it seems like there's no way to replace/fix this without replacing the whole interior door panel.

These are a terrible design - both sides broke off with not much force when they got caught on my pants and my son's pants.

Which part actually got broken? Odd if you've had an issue on both sides while I have not had any on two similar cars.

Anyway, EPC shows which parts can be bought separately if you don't want to try to fix the broken parts.

Part 330 "Ashtray" broke off...

it's only held in by a spring and some small plastic things.

As you can see in the diagram, it mounts directly into the whole door panel. I now have a gaping hole in each rear door.

The housing can be removed and replaced by its own. I had mine replaced by my MBtech. It only took him 2 mins. The part costed me ~$40 if I remembered correctly.

That would be great - Thanks for the info...

on the parts diagram above there's no separate part listed however -- could you possibly find your record for this repair and find the part number?
