Headlight cleaning jets. Look good, bad or neutral?
I have noticed a large number of European and some U.S E Class cars that have the headlight cleaning jets (the little triangles between the headlights) on their cars.

In some countries they may be standard depending on the model so there is no choice, and in others, like mine it's a fairly cheap option to add.
Question:
It's function aside.
Do you think these "triangles" detract from the look of the car from the front?
Enhance the look of the front by being more high-tech looking?
Or,looks the same to me either way?

Nahh
Nahh....If I had the choice, I wouldn't get it. Cars in US come with it standard, so I did not have the choice.
I NEVER use it. I don't drive in snow/mud/grime/etc. I live in So.Cal.
AND, I cringe everytime I think of the windshield wiper fluid (which is what I assume it sprays) overspray stripping my wax off the front of the car.

I think it looks fine. I have not used mine yet. Somewhat afraid of it spraying on the paint too but I'm sure it is okay other than leaving water marks.

I don't think the headlamp washers are standard in the US.
They come with
a) E1 bi-xenon headlight and washer package (how I'm getting mine)
or
b) E3 sport package (which includes the E1 features, aluminum trim, black wood, 5 spoke wheels, blue tinted glass, slightly modified lower body elements in front, rear and side skirts on the E500, and on the E320 also adds the airmatic suspension, which is already present on base E500s).

the whole reason for the washers is to prevent zenon lights from frying themselves if the lenses are dirty...that is why they are part of the package...the next step will be a sensor like the rain sensor that will clean them automatically if they get dirty.

WAIT
wait until others agree or disagree with me before being certain, but I think it is the Platinum color.
Brilliant Silver is very, well, ummm, silver.
Pewter is a kind of heather or champagne color
Platinum appears to me to be sort of bluish, like the car in the photo you referenced.
HTH,
