oil change and trany flush for 2003 e320
local mechanic shop in town is trustworthy and i was wondering if they can change oil and filter and if they use mb fluids would it hurt to flush the trany and chnge its filter; instead of mb dealer as the price is twice as much?

I would not flush the tranny but only change the fluid and filter/gasket.
I would use only MB transmission fluid.
Oil should be 229.51 0w40 Mobile 1 or another meeting the spec
Filter.. Fleece MB only.
Now given this,, it is your decision to let someone else work on the car.
