Mercedes-Benz 2006 W211 E320 CDI Avantgarde stationwagon
![Exclamation](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon4.gif)
Hey folks, I'm new in here, you migt have seen me posting a bit, I just bought myself a 2006 E320 CDI Avantgarde
which I am very happy for, but I need some advice:
1. Does this model have anything special to look out for? any parts need to be double checked?
2. I have never really been a big fan of modding, mainly because I dont think it's worth it, due to the fairly high prices on parts, but is there anything that on a completely stock E320 CDI would need any modding?
I checked all the basics when I saw the car, oil, electronics/lights, gearbox, noises at different speeds etc.
First time Mercedes owner, so make me wiser guys

Cheers anyway, i always wanted a Mercedes, at first the wagon thing was a lil "ah I don't care if it's sedan or wagon" but come to think of it, it gives a huge amount of space, and i always like having extra room ![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
- just a lil question what is the main difference from a 4matic and a "regular" ? is it AWD?

Congratulaitons on the car! I remember when I lived in Denmark and drove an E class that everyone thought I was a taxi, if you live in KBH then I am sure you will suffer the same fate. It can be interesting when they are drunk and then get angry that you do not stop.
4-Matic is All Wheel Drive, but it comes at a penalty with the 5 speed transmission instead of the 7 speed.

Oh cool, yeah the 7 speed should give better fuel economy - lower rpm isn't that right?
I live a good 30 minute drive away from Copenhagen
- and thank you, I'm very pleased with my buy ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Edit: What are you driving at the moment?

The entertainment package includes the Harman Kardan (I hope I'm spelling it right) sound system with 12 speakers and a subwoofer in the trunk (if I remember correctly) and a 6-Disc CD-Changer in the dash.

This is fine as it states "Equipment" instead of "additional options", but the car does have a lot more equipment than that, starting from 4 wheel (perhaps even a spare). I mean things like folding rear seats must be standard for a wagon, rains sensor on a W211 equally. Not sure about the rest, and are you sure it does not have more options than these, I would not be surprised if it did. A nice car anyway, enjoy.
