Have any of you removed the white "Mercedes" sticker from your windshield?

I don't really see the point of it. And NYS already requires me to have an inspection sticker and registration sticker on the driver side, plus there's the white EZ pass tag. Why do I need one more sticker that says "Mercedes"?

I took mine off. Looks A LOT cleaner from a front view w/o the sticker.

Hehe - it's a matter of opinion I suppose - many people go to great lengths to get these and reapply them after a windshield has been replaced. The older ones have a slightly different appearance and are harder to come by.

I think it is a US only thing.

E-class and CLS share the same one. Others have the G. Daimler signature on them.

Mine is gone, was gone when I got it.

I KNOW for a fact, that it adds 10-12 HP to any MB, but I think it my car makes up more than half those ponies on the weight savings gained from removing it, so it may be a wash.....

It looks like a parking permit or inspection sticker to me. I got mine taken off and looks much better/cleaner.

The older ones had Daimler's signature.

Well, it's gone now. I just peeled it off with my fingernail. A little adhesive remover got rid of the glue residue, then some Windex, and now, not a trace of it.

It's actually a radio transmitter sticker showing the authenticy of your Mercedes Benz to the dealer's STAR network.

Ok, it's just a sticker. My truck has the same thing from the Kentucky truck plant.

Of course you realize that the resale value has now dropped 10% and dealers won't even take it on a trade without that sticker.
You really messed up Oggie. Better order a replacement and quick!

Well, not really an AMG. I have the same car and I don't really consider it an AMG by any stretch of the imagination. Just my view.

took that off and put on the white star flat hood badge, I know I'm driving an MB, too showy for me.

I may have misinterpreted your post, but I do sincerely hope you realize I was being sarcastic. We're making fun of the sticker, and the power and mad props it provides. Some folks here de-badge their cars. I'm saying the white sticker is the opposite of de-badging. I'm taking it to another level, by saying it reminds me I have an AMG, (even though I don't - sarcasm)....

Sorry. My bad. Missed the sarcasm. The follies of internet communications (sans tonal inflections).
