Tire Pressure on 245/30/20s
Hey guys, trying to avoid bending these 20"s I really would rather not replace anymore this season. What tire pressure are you running on your vehicles? I'm guessing it should be @ 38 or so? I want the tires to have as much load as possible to avoid the wheel bending on any sort of imperfections in the road. Apparantly my 19"s on the C class are bent because I didn't keep the pressure up. Those tires are 245/30/19s. Please help! Can't afford anymore damage!

do you think I should go up to a 35 sidewall? The reason Im going nuts about this is because I have a different but similar set of 19"s on my C class and two have already bent noticeably but still hold air. They are 245/30/19s and the guy said what you have said which is that if they are not running at 38psi then I'll have a problem. He also told me that the tpms only goes on below 25 psi which sucks so I really have to keep close tabs on the pressure. Thanks for your input and let me know what you think about beefing up the sidewall a little bit. Anyone on 245/35/20s w/ or without a drop? Input! Thanks guys.

You can try a 35 series but then the wheel diameter will be 1" taller than OEM spec. Some have done it without issue and others have run into that little suspension bolt in front. If you look into the wheelwell, there is an arm with a bolt that could touch the tires if the diameter got tall enough. The ones with the problems had to shave down that bolt.
I ended up staying with 245/30/20 for the MB. I had 245/35/20 on another car at 38psi too. It was also 1" taller than spec on that car.
