Our 2003 E500
Hey guys, this is my family's E500 in the Dominican Republic. Some changes were E63 badging, E63 bumper side slots, black roof, new style tail lights

we also have a 2002 X5 4.4i. We have a gun as well and my father was born and raised their. He knows how to handle things down there, also owning a business down there. we also live in a great neighborhood, plus other people have much better cars there too.
Nice car and who ever did the work did a good job fitments wise and paint wise. I'm just not a fan of badging a car another model that its not.
What size are the wheels? You should drop the car

alot of 'whys' going around
I think people don't like the fact that you badged the car an higher model then it really is. To some thats a NO NO in this Benz world..I don't have an appreciation for it. The way I see it you already drive a MB which is alot nicer then alot of cars on the road here in the states but over there is in a league of its own. No real need to badge it a car that it is not. Catch my drift?
Take the badges off brah...the car looks good other then those badges put a flat hood star and drop. **** the roads...just drive slow

Yeah, it's a beautiful car on it's own but dare I say with the badging and missmatching it gives it somewhat of a "poseur mobile" look. I mean, the front bumpers are pre-07 style with slits (cut?) into the sides to give it a faux E63 look (they do look nice though), the rims aren't 63 rims, the rear bumper doesn't seem to be 63 (?), even the black roof gives the image of a pano but isn't (again, it does look nice and I'm not knocking it, just giving an overall observation of my first impressions of the car). Etc. Etc.
It's a beautiful car, and IMO if you guys took off the bades, it would be an incredibly unique and well modified/mixed/crafted ride

anyone who even knew what an E63 was could spot that phony from a mile away
but please, for the love of god, if youre going to go all out E63 on it, please get an 07 grill, trunk finisher, front bumper, and an actual AMG exhaust. its like having a fake rolex with a typo on the watch

Anyone owning a MB should be proud of that fact, no need to badge-engineer. I wish I owned a E63, but until I can afford it, I wont rebadge my car. Heck, I could put a E550 badge on it and probably get away with it, but why? In my opinion, owning any car and rebadging it seems like the only reason that it was purchased in the first place was to impress passersby. Just my .02
Other than that, I really like the car, love the interior combo and the wood steering wheel, nice wheels and I also like the exhaust mods. Not a fan of the pano look-alike treatment, and I would get rid of the badging, that would be it. Nice car.

How do you like your pano roof? I have a convertible, but rarely drive it for a multitude of reasons (2 seater, were I live it's too hot most of the year, I wear a suit to work and don't want to sweat, get my hair messed up since I'm in meetings all day), and I never use my E350's sunroof (cause it wastes ac). Pano seems like a good compromise (like a convertible without the hassle).
Its a good compromise between the two you are right. The ladies love it. Whether its a female in front or two one in the back they always get wet when they look up and see the stars at night

The factory 'mood' lights help set the tone too
A lot of people don't even know about the option or that its available on an MB. I think I might of created more business for MB. They should start a referral size of their company haha.

Nice car, take the badges off though if you don't want to get flamed. A lot of people here, especially the guys in the w211 AMG forum who read this, will not take too kindly to that ****. The body work is all brilliant but take off those badges and the number plate, its like putting Ferrari badges on a Toyota MR2 replica, don't man.
