Really no solution for lowering 08 E350 4Matic yet?
Am I wrong? I hope so. Has anybody on the boards successfully lowered a new 350 4matic? I didn't think it would be such a big deal apparantly I'm wrong though. All the websites exclude awd cars from their lowering packages. Car does not have airmatic. Anybody know what the deal is? Is there any other do it yourself ways to go about it?

One Option is to install a set of EURO Mercedes springs...also check SPORT 4matic
as they will be lower..and do not have the bumper height laws the USA has

Wait are we sure about this? Trying the regular non-4matic springs? I called H&R and they told me they don't fit because I do have a set. I'm not sure that is wise but I need another options are we talking about stock euro 4matic Eclass springs? That will be tough to source but I'll keep an eye out for them. I'm no suspension guru I know a little bit about a little bit but I definatly don't want the car sitting so high w/ aftermarket wheels on. What is the big difference here between the suspensions on the AWD and RWD models? Isn't a shock and a spring a shock and a spring?

I'll do that, what do you think about the other members suggestions to use non 4 matic E class springs?

From what I've read the shocks and springs are different in the front. I have yet to take my front wheel off and see whats going on. The back should be the same as the RWD cars.

any updates on this for me? Am I the only one who wants to lower a 4matic? This can't be that hard what do I need to do have some springs cut? I am in touch with MBenzNL and they are looking into it. Have any of the earlier 4matic cars been lowered successfully?

I'm actually glad that 4Matics have the higher ride height than a 2WD's. Roads are pretty banged up here in NYC. There is one stretch of road on the Belt bet. Flatbush and JFK where I feel like I'm driving through a bombed out Baghdad road. And the gas station ramps are super steep at some places, if the car would be lower I'd be scraping the air dam all the time.

Sweet! Where did you find the info on this and I'm assuming its going to work on 07 4matics too.
Eibach's website doesn't list anything for the 4matics. The pro kit for the 06-08 w211 say that it excludes self-leveling, 4matics and wagons.

I highly doubt that eibach makes a spring for the 4-matic. The reason they do not offer a spring and why you can't just use any spring is because the front driveshafts go through the lower part of where the spring meets the spring perch. I've been searching for a solution for my e430 4matic forever just no luck.

I'm very interested in seeing if any of you guys would be able to drop the 4Matic. I was just expressing how I felt but it would be cool to lower the car. Best of luck to you guys!
