Sirius and Amplifier Install at Circuit City
I was talking with the tech's last night while looking for a sirius radio and they insisted they could install the satellite radio and an aftermarket amp in my 2003 e500- i am weary about letting circuit city take apart my car though... Anyone else had one of the retailers install anything in thier car? is this a job a regular shop could do? i just dont want to get the car back all half-assed done and end up at the MB dealership fixing what they broke. Thoughts?

they installed a sub-tube in my old jeep about 10 yrs ago. Probably not a good idea to let them near your mercedes though. 
Go to a local mercedes tuner/mod specialist or call you local Benz dealer and see if they can recommend anyone. Thats where I would start.

DO NOT let them touch your car, I sell car stereos for a living and all the problems I ever have are bad installs from Best Buy and Circuit City. We have actually had to give the installers tech support for stupid installations. If you want anything done, go to a reputable car stereo shop in your area, there are good ones everywhere.

Like everyone said stay away from any big box retailers for any work on your mercedes. We work on a ton of benzes from C-Class to Sl-65's and we also fix a lot of nightmare's that other "ghetto" shops and big boxes mess up. Just be careful with the installer etc. If you have any questions about an audio install feel free to PM or call me, I am very experienced with the Benzes and can give you some solid advice. Thanks.

thanks guys- Ultimate Audio here in Orlando works on all high end cars- When i went to have them look at it I parked between a Range Rover and an Austin Martin DB9... If some guy trust them to work on a 100K+ car then my old e-class should be no problem
