Command and teleaid Problem
I just posted the same problem in AMG section, but wanted to post it in regular E-class section; Anyway, here goes...
I have US command with MBenzNL installed navigation and punk with tail.
Everything was working fine till last night. This morning I start my car and get "Teleaid defective- visit workshop" malfunction. and then I hear static from speakers. I thought, I'll reboot the command, and guess what, I ended up having the same problem as discussed in this thread. command powers on, shows the Mercedes logo and then shuts off.
I reached work, parked the car ans during lunch went back and started the car and powered on the command - Did the same thing again and then after I give up, it powers up on its own and music starts playing with lot of static, but still no nav and then command freezes again and just keeps doing this.
Any easy fix?
Can this be some fuse or something?

That sounds like a defective teleaid module. The teleaid is part of the optical loop for your model and if it goes bad you get those exact symptoms. It could also be the navigation is bad but that is less likely.
Start with the simple stuff. Check the trunk and make sure that no fuses are blown... make sure there isnt water in the trunk... etc... after that its off to the dealer.

Thanks rob13572468
Can someone help me in identifying command/ nav fuse?
I think I don't have the fuse diagram.
I would appreciate if someone could post a picture of the diagram.
Thanks.

It was a quick fix.
Started with looking at the fuse box and checking the fuse.
Navigation fuse (F003 in the trunk - third from the bottom) had some deposits on it. Cleaned the fuse element and placed the fuse back.
Everything works like a charm!
And the MB dealer was going to charge me $149+ for diagnosis.

Navigation/ fuse (issue or non-issue)
This is one of my old threads and last night I was having the same problem of command not working and Nav drive had no power.
I again pulled out the navigation fuse and inserted it back in and everything started working.
Is this something I should be concerned about?
I don't have any problem doing this every once a while as long as it is not damaging the nav/ command hardware.
Any thoughts?
