Cracking Leather....Warranty??
Hi All, my drivers seat leather is cracking a little bit and it's only going to get worse down the road. I have the MB Tex. Is this covered under factory warranty? Thanks

MB tex cracking? I learn something every day. My grand dad had a 300d for like 10 years with MB tex and it looked as new the day he sold it as the day he bought it.

For instance:
DTB P-B-91.12/140 covers creases in the rear seat for MY07 with MBTex (code 140) up to VIN B100720, and Ameretta/Leather/Nappa (820) - no VIN restriction.
P-B-46.10/68 covers noticeable steering wheel imperfections for all 211 vehicles without wood/leather option.

That sounds weird, especially for such a new car and for M-B Tex. I have a feeling it may be the middle Leather inserts? as I just don't really see M-B Tex wearing so soon.

You have all leather interior (standard e500) and MBUSA allows for steering wheel replacement for imperfection(s) under initial factory warranty only (48 months/50000 miles).

03 E500 and Corvette
My corvette has premium leather seats. The DS seat cracked at 20,000 miles. Chevy/Corvette replaced them under warranty. If Corvette can replace them due to cracking I would be suprised if MB would not.

Is it bad to use Leather conditioner (not Cleaner) on the M-B Tex, and Dash, etc? I've asked it before and a few people said yes, it's fine, but trying to get as many opinions on it as I can.
So far the results have came out fine , I'm just worried about long term, and I use it once every 5-6 months or so (car doesn't get driven or exposed to sun all too much).
BTW, I use the Lexol Wipes.

Thanks!
How about just regular conditioner/maintenance on the Vinyl/Dash/Plastics, etc? My interior stays pretty clean minus some dust, etc. So I never really have to use detergents or cleaning chemicals on it, etc. I'd just like to use something to keep it conditioned/prevent stuff stuff from aging/cracking, etc.
Is a Leather Conditioner (like Lexol) okay for that once every 6 or so months?
