Who should I call or go to if I want to negotiate a lease buy out?
Do I call mercedes or my dealer to negotiate?

Do you guys think they'll budge more that $2K off the contract buy out price? I'm not buying the car at that super high price....

fyi - we just turned in our 07 E350. It had a residual of ~42 and they came down to high 37's if we wanted to buy.

2011 BMW X5d, 2011 Nissan Leaf and Kubota L39 Tractor!
I had a similar experience. Car had a $39K residual on a $56K MSRP. They offered to come down to $37K. Most I would pay is $31K. Dealers are asking $32K-$33K for similar cars in the Bay Area. I ended up buying a new S550 and giving the car back to MB Financial.

my dealer said to return the car to him and he would buy it wholesale from mercedes and sell it back to me at the lower price. try that...

How much money can you save doing it this way? Might not be a bad idea... if it works.

Thanks for the info people.
My residual is $38k. But I wont pay anymore than near the 30s..
I guess i'll give it a try, but it seems I'll be moving on to a different car.
