What are the "must do" mods for the W211?
My car is currently at the body shop getting the E63 body kit fitted. Now that I have the exterior of the car exactly where I want it, I'm going to focus my attention on the "must do" mods for performance/convenience.
These are a few I'm considering:
1) Bluetooth (wicked upgrade for less then $400, perfect for my crackberry)
2) E55 Steering wheel (has anyone upgraded theirs? If so, what's required?)
3) Stainless pedals (not sure how it would look with the brown wood??)
4) Command/Navigation/DVD (I like but but worth the $$??)
5) Powerfolding mirrors (MBenzNL doesn't visit Canada, is my dealer capable of installing this?)
6) Powerchip ECU flash (anyone try other brands with success?)
Any other you can think of?
TIA

209/W210 Estate /W211 modded by MBENZNL
MBENZNL has been to Canada several times to mod cars
Distronic is my favorite mod..
Second is the full option front seats..Heated/vented/drive dynamic/massage/Multicontour
They were added after I got the car

Clearbra/Venture Shielding/Lamin-x...etc...
I did the whole front of my car...full hood, full fenders, front bumper, front lip spoiler, A pillars, and headlight/fog light/running lights.

Wood steering wheel, HIDs if you don't have any, LED tail lights if you don't have them. You could get it lowered, but it will cost mucho $$$.
I was thinking about the navi drive, but IMO it wasn't worth the money. I've never even needed it yet, knock on wood. The pedals for me are a love hate relationship. Sister has them on her C230 sport, sometimes I love them, sometimes I don't. I am assuming (when you assume, you make an *** out of u and me, lol) that you are getting the E63 exhuast, correct???

Sorry you're right - He made it out to Vancouver (Langley BC) years ago but hasn't come since. I realize it's a supply/demand thing. Back to my original question, a dealer should be capable, correct?

I wish we could get a more aggressive steering wheel in alcantara or just plain black leather. The only ones out there have wood or carbon fibre

I would do Distronic, Navi, Bluetooth, Euro COMAND, rear roof and trunk spoiler, LED smoked (the real one) tail lights, HIDs, exhaust and if you would like, tinted windows.
I have the Euro COMAND, the BT replacer so far and working continuously on the other mods. I would like to get the dual or quad pipes but I'm still unsure which way to go. New system or just the tips.

get a aftermarket double din head unit. it would cross two items off your list; bluetooth and navigation. the kits they have make it look super clean, just as good or better than OEM in my book.

Hi All,
where would I find the AMG exhaust system? There seems to be only 1 Euro site offering it at $2500...or something, but no pictures. Does it comprise only of the back boxes?
Also, if i were to update my headlights to the bi-xenons, there are a set on ebay, how would the self levelling work?
Thanks!

What about brakes?
Has anyone uprated the stock stoppers to Brembo, AMG (Brembo?), etc?
Where can we get the stock rotor sizes and the available upgrades from? Tire Rack has the ubiquitous and ridiculous $5000 GT upgrade but thats about it

Mods are fun
I have done the bluetooth, Navi, Ipod, AMG front, rear and exhaust. I am thinking about doing BRABUS brakes I, as I can get those for $2,200 (new)instead of the outragous $15,000 original price.
I am also interested in AMG seats, but have never seen anybody offer those for sale,
Keyless Go - I always thought it was way too expensive - how much is that mod?
BTW, couldn't have done all the mods without extensive support from this forum!!!
