Cool Crank Position Sensor???

Today coming home from work I got a check engine light. Put a diagnostic machine on it and Crank Position Sensor came back. Where is this sensor at since I'm out of warranty and I'm going to have to do it my self if not how much am I expecting to spend.

It reads a "reflector" that's on the flywheel.

On your M112 it's at driver's side and when viewing flywheel from transmission side it would appear at about 11 o'clock on rear of engine.

Very likely requires an outside TORX socket to remove. Gonna take a mirror to see it unless you remove a bunch of air intake stuff and look from right side of car (from which you can't reach it).

Diy on benzworld.org w210 diy section or on mercedesshop.com resource section diy.
Be sure to index it to the ecu when installed.
PM if you need index procedure or you can't locate it on the diy article.

pop the hood up to the vertical position if the w211 has that special hinge

Very good work at the W210 section but the CPS link could have appeared at the engine section too. And at the time I spent browsing, I was not able to find the index procedure. Should that be improved with a direct link or can you post an exact link here?
Or was it this:

Odd that WIS does not tell this, at least not for my car.
