I just picked up a 2005 E320, I have a question on the navigation. It has the command center on the dash but it says navigation not available. Do I just need to pick up the software or is there other hardware needed? THanks for the help.

 

You need a DVD drive that goes in the trunk and the current DVD with maps on it. Installation is not too hard. Search the forum and you will find all kinds of info including detailed installation instructions.

2005 E500 where does the NAV disk goes? can't find anything in the trunk. only one slot for CD/DVD above the radio, but then if that's the place where does the regular music CDs go? thanks

 

Thats the single CD slot not the NAV. If your car is NAV equipped, there is a door on the left side trunk liner behind which lies a DVD unit. Thats the NAV. No door = no nav in the car.

just to add, you should also have a 6 cd changer directly below your nav unit.
