Newbie with an 06 E350
Hi guys!
Glad to be a part of the forum.
I just joined today, and last week, I bought a 2006 E350 in black, luxury edition.
As any pn00b, I have a few questions:
1) I want the exhaust from an 07 E350 with the dual exhaust tips (one on each side). I need a new bumper for this, right? Is the exhaust a bolt on?
2) I searched, and found you guys aren't happy with the EBay exhaust tips. Are there tips out there I can get that look good, work good, and don't require me to get a new rear bumper, and exhaust system?
3) Which lowering springs do you recommend that common wheels offsets don't rub even with 4 people in the car? Also, which ones retain the soft ride?
4) Anyone selling 07+ E350 sport rims?
5) Where is the best place to buy a rear trunk deck spoiler, AMG style?
6) My car didn't come with seat warmers. What do I need to do to get them?
7) I found a NAV unit on ebay for $400. If I switch my command unit with this nav one, what else do I need to have navigation?
8) What do I need for the hands free phone to work?
Thanks guys!

#7 The NAV unit is in the trunk in the L/R Quarter, when installed in the car with a bunch of other parts including a new trunk liner for the left side and the car has been properly programmed to see the NAV unit, your COMAND will support & display the info it supplies it . Its installation has been described in this forum. The head unit in the dash is NOT the NAV unit, but rather, its a display screen for the various radios/SAT revievers, etc. located elsewhere in the car..

Hey there,
I just purchased mine 10 days ago and am looking at some of the same options you were asking about.
I am mostly interested in the Navigation and the bluetooth.
I went to a car audio specialty shop and they were saying that if I did not want to go with the OEM parts then they would be looking at replacing all the system for about 5500 with and AVIC-90BT and all new speakers etc. So I am wondering what would it cost to purchase the OEM parts and do it myself.
Cheers & good luck on your end!

NAV is approximately 2k using all factory parts (potentially DIY) and bluetooth 350 with DIY install. If you do a quick search all the part numbers are available. Good luck!

I think 1500 is fair, this is including the continentals as well.
