Squeeking coming from the engine compartment

I've got a squeek, or chirp that is coming from the motor area, I'm assuming it's a belt or something, just wanted to check up and see if it's a known problem and if I should be ready for anything in particular when I take it in....

Looks like another trip for an annoying little thing to the Dealer, I had such a good streak going too.... Like 2 months Dealer-visit free!!

Mine does it too, but only at first start, when it's cold. Goes away after a few minutes. Probably a belt.

I took it in yesterday and of course it didn't make a peep at the Dealership. So I'll have to hope I can get them to pinpoint it by hopefully getting lucky enough for it to squeek/chirp when I take it in next. They're offering to change the belt anyway though, which I might go ahead and do since it may just be that.

I have a similar problem, but it's with my ML63.

I'm going to take it in soon. It doesn't do it while cold like Benz-O-Rama's car though. It's constant. I've never really been around another 63 engine so I'm not sure if it's normal for my engine.

Could be the pivot point on the belt tensioner. The pully bearing on the tensioner might be ok but the pivot could squeek. I just changed the tensioner on my Corvette for the same reason. Random squeek/chirp but did not always exist and did not match engine rpm. After I pulled the tensioner PITA, I easily found the pivot bearing / bushing worn out allowing the pulley to run at an angle to the belt. Due to the pulley being smooth vs, ribbed this did not cause a belt problem.

Have had the same issue for some time, and either engine or outside temperature was already too warm when the car was at the dealership.
Finally during one of our recent cold snaps, took the car over and problem solved. Replaced tensioner (2722000270) and new belt.

My guess is clearly the tensioner center pivot bearing that carries full load.
