Balt joint support

Hi guys,

Anybody experience squizing noise that comes from the suspension area.
The tech told me its the the botton balt joint support.... that this car has 2 balt joint, one in the top and one in the botton.... in order to make the squizy noise away, i have to replace the balt joint support that cost about $700 ...... anybody experience this before ? according to him, its a commom problem.... same for the S class......

Anybody has this experience pls let me know.....

Yep, very common on our cars. Search the forum and you'll find more than enough reading on the subject.

When you do you search use ball joint not balt joint

Yes the BALL joint fails IMO prematurely given the purchase cost of this vehicle.

One more thing, is it safe to drive without fixing it ?

In practise it is safe if it has just started producing noise, likely safe even quite a while after that but not for ever. And you would lose tyres from incorrect alignment etc. So better to fix it one you find a joint that isn't tight or makes noise. Most MB joints can be replaced separately from the arms and aren't even that expensive.
