WHAT JOBS DO MB OWNERS HAVE

Jay, I fully agree with your comments. As a trial lawyer, I'll be his income was somewhere in the upper 6 to lower 7 figures. That said, education is a reward all its own.

MY2004 E320
I am an IT Project Manager. It will be a long time before I will be able to buy a new Mercedes - but I appreciate the low-milage preowned ones I have been buying for the last 12 or so years
Tried the C280, E320, E420, S430, S500. Favorite was 97 E420.
Current 2004 E320 is awesome! but could use a V8 on occasion.
Overall I buy MB for their prestige and the good feeeling you get when you travel for more than an hour. I used to travel alot for my job and its night and day in a Japanese Car and an MB. They are lighter (Japanese cars) but MB gives you the tank feeling that no other car (offcourse other than a 5-series Bemer gives.

Finance Controller
I work as a Finance Controller for a large networking company. Echo the reasons others have posted on this thread. Love my E320 and glad that I resisted the urge to buy a Lexus..went with my heart and I am glad I have my shiny black E320

I’m a software engineer for one of the leading digital music services. I own a 1992 500E which I will never part with. Paid cash for it 4 years ago when it had 86K miles on the clock and got it from a very nice gentleman in his later years who didn’t exactly know what he originally bought in 1992 and had too many new cars so the 500E was left sitting around. His loss and my uber find.
I do not see a new Benz (or any AMG cars) in my hands for many years to come, or at all until they start building cars like they used to - and no other Benz fits in the same category as the W124.036 500E…unless Mercedes hires Porsche once again to hand build another gem for them. If that does happen, I'll be one of the first on the plane to Germany with cash in hand – but I fear that will never happen again.
