The thickness spec is in the service manual. Don't happen to have it now. However there are sensors that when worn will give you a + in the FSS service window. So when you see something like service C+ The + means that either the front or rear pads might need replacing. I found that on my E500 when the + is showing I can get about another 25000 miles before changing pads. But then I do them myself. I am sure the dealer will be much more conservative and want to change them at the +. My first + showed at 30,000 miles and JUST pads on the front were $450.
2) When are brake discs changed?
See NOTE 1
3) When is standard procedure to change your tires (in mm)? How much is it to change all 4 all-season tires?
I don't change tires but then I don't live where snow is an issue. I run Michelin's Pilots year round.
4) What is RR?
Remove and Replace
Thanks!!

Brake rotors minimum specs are on the rotors.
Per above you are capable of doing your own brakes.
factory dvd or alldatadiy.com has the WIS.
If it has sbc you need to follow all safety precautions
Tires you can plus size with larger rims or go wider with a different profile on the stock rim,you just need to keep the rolling diameter within 3% of stock.

for the science behind tires
front and rear rotors are about $100 per end depending on if you have the vented rears

if you don't do them or find an indie mb shop,be prepared for sticker shock,mb dealers except in rare situations always r/r the rotors even if they are mirror smooth and show almost no wear.
I would strongly suggest buying good summer tires and buying an extra set of winter wheels/tires. The car will be much better in any possibly condition, and long term operating costs may actually be lower due to increased fuel economy.
