Service dealer damage

Hi all,
I just recently bought a E350 2009, The car is only one month old. It was in service for a faulty rear light sensor and heater blower (made too much noise),They ended up replacing both parts.

After having my car washed, I noticed two large gashes on the lower part of the driver door and frame. They took responsibility for the damage and will fix it.
Has anyone else had any damage issues with their dealership?
Thanks
Harry

I have not, but kudos to whatever dealership you use. There are far many more stories of dealers not taking responsibility. Can you share the name of the dealer?

the dealer I use does a full inspection with me of my car when I check in for service and notes any curb rash, dings, scratches, etc. They will then take full responsibility. Would suggest everyone requests up front if dealer does not do this.

Name of the dealership is Silver Star in Montreal. The dealership is taking full responsibility..

I just find it a lack of respect to not be careful around our cars...

Yes I picked mine up with a broken windshield on the pass side. It was not broken when I dropped it off. The service mgr had a very DETAIL inspection report when the car was dropped off. The shop mgr said, "it was brought in that way". I just stood silent and refused to sign the release. The Service mgr ( I do business with only 1) went to my defense and stated, "It was NOT brought in with a broken windshield, replace it!"

So even though there was damage I was glad the service mgr had the documentation. Now when I drop it off he and I both do a walk around which I would suggest anyone do when dropping the car at any shop for work.

Yes, I think a walk around is a must when bringing the car in for service,,
