Had a 2001 210 for the past four years and just bought a 2006 E350 AWD from Volvo dealer freind who found the car for me at a MB auction. Car has 39,000 , one owner and all the records. Looks brand new. Paid $24,500. Is that a decent price or did I get taken to the cleaners as usual in the car buying process?

I am looking forward to this board from the old one that was immensly helpful.

Wecome to the 211 forum !
A friend bought the car for you at auction so you already know that you got a good/fair deal !

Enjoy your new ride and post some pics .

You're going to love that car

Good Question. Unlike many of you, all I really want it to do its get me to work and back regularly! I have only had it three days now, and totally love the ride and feel. I have even gotten used to the nav system, although I like the TomTom better....I think I amgetting a slight vibration at 70 miles and hour and sdo not know haow to check to see what casues that.

On my 2001 E there were a hundred things I whould have liked to have done to it. But thsis one has nice rims, clear headlights, and a good shine.

I think many experience that slight vibration between 60-70 MPH ... Not sure if it's the tires (I'm still running the Conti's and looking to go to either Michelin or Bridgestone)

Do what I do .. keep it over 70!!!

I too just purchased a new Benz for myself. 2007 E350 with 24000 miles with the warranty up in July of 2010. Sport, integrated phone, nav,......I LOVE the car but did I get a good deal? I don't mean to hijack the thread but saw this as a decent place to ask a similar question......

Oh yeah, price: $28,500

Make sure you bring it in for a complete inspection and service. At that milage, you need to have the transmission serviced, preferably the differentials too (although not specified service) with the synthetic gear oil.

Also, see if the dealer will give you a good deal on a original MB warranty extension to 100k miles or 7 years, this is only possibly while your car is under the new car warranty.

I just bought a 2006 e500 with 26k MILES for $31K. This was a CPO with brand new tires and a new brake job. I'd say you got a decent deal not a great deal.
